Thank you to my wonderful Uncle Charles and Aunt Sharon for letting us crash in their beautiful home in Golden, for most of our stay in Colorado.
We really enjoyed it there, as I write this they are getting record setting snow and so I imagine this scene is in a blanket of the yummy white stuff!
We were there 4 weeks ago with sunshine and not a cloud in the sky the whole visit, so it is hard to picture it now.
We saw deer, 2 bucks, a fox and rabbits in their backyard I wish I had the camera.

Anna Kate enjoying an empty chip can for a toy while we all take a break from sitting in the car. Love this age ;-)
Home away from home: While staying in a cabin at Estes Park the girls enjoyed the movies...too cold to go outside after the sun goes behind the mountains. I think they are a little too close to the tv but I will not be the mom that says "your eyes will go cross if you stand that close!" We all know that is not true, I hope!
Outside the window from the cabin...This pic is so relaxing. I wish we could have stayed outside longer but the wind and some snow flakes kept us inside.
...asleep, snug and warm.
Downtown Boulder never disappoints us! Next to these fountains we ate "the best sandwiches" voted in Boulder. They were good, however Darrell's still is the best hands down :-)Our one family photo, thank you mister from Arkansas. This is the highest we could get in Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park. Trail Ridge Road (which goes through the Rockies) had just closed that weekend due to snow until Memorial Day weekend.
The beauty of the Rockies is unbelievable. It is worth the 18 hour drive, I think. My husband and others could feel differently :-)
