March 2012

First Spa Party

I guess the Spa Party wore Madeline out that night...

Freaky warm March Colorado weather = New Bikes

St. Patrick's Party

Had to travel 3 hours to Steamboat Springs to find snow
Sandwiches by a frozen lake, that is what we needed to cool off!

My momma friend, Jackie and I had a "get our hair done without the kids day".

A day on the farm in Longmont, CO with the Monlezun family.

North Fork Fire, burned over 4500 acres and burned 22 house and sadly 3 deaths...
This pic was taken from our deck, moments after is started. The sun was red and looked like Mars.  Madeline thought it was a volcano. The fire was west of us in the mountains, too close for comfort.

Went up higher ground to get a better view...

On a lighter note...
Anna Kate seriously sound asleep on the couch:
Madeline at Dairy Queen ordered a smoothie, her first one! It was pretty good but Dairy Queen for us is all about the ice cream.

Feb 2012

This month flew by and we even had an extra day!

The first major snow fall of the season (about 18")

This how we started out the month though, barefoot and playing in the sandbox...

Ice Castles. Silverthorne, CO.
I think this is what some people think we live with in Colorado. This is deep into the Rockies and man made. Very cool! No pun intended.

This is how Anna Kate likes to shop.

Uncle Mick came to visit. It was short but very sweet!
We went to Rocky Mountain National Park... Still never get use to its beauty!

Steven always finds time to spend with the girls.

January 2012. Just a glimpse. I need to get back on the blog again... Facebook takes up a lot time that I would spend blogging. Shame on me!

Last few days in Ruston, LA with wheelbarrow ride from Papa.

LSU season finishes a great season!

Weekend visit to Cousin Anna and Giovanni's mini farm. If you could see AK's face up close she is screaming about taking this picture. Both girls really did have a great time, I promise.

The Elk are back! There are the black dots. They roam the open space behind our house.

Steven had to go to Dallas for work. This is one of the famous sites from the assassination of President Kennedy, the "Grassy knoll". You would think it would be more sophisticated than this wimpy sign.

A glimpse into Christmas

We have so many pics to download from Christmas that I don't know where to start, so I will just give a glimpse into what it was like this year...
Lots of fun with some silly on the side.

Nov back in Colorado

Even though we spent half of the month in Louisiana holding babies and playing, we still had a busy month back at home in Colorado

Nov 1st Madeline had her Halloween class party, hence the costume. The local rec center was already celebrating Thanksgiving.

Georgetown, CO
The Santa Train on the Georgetown Loop ride. Beautiful scenery, not that the girls cared about that part.

First time I have ever seen wild turkeys. There were 10 of them just walking around at my aunt and uncle's house in Golden.

My Aunt Sharon and Uncle Charles decorating their neighbor iron horse (because what neighborhood doesn't have one of those). Girls of course loved to help with anything and everything!

Happy Holidays!

Nov Visit to Louisiana

Love us some baby Jacob

Girls' first plane ride to see him...

and it was Anna Kate's 3rd birthday too... big day for her!
Miss Queen Anna Kate! Happy Birthday silly girl.

We had a great time seeing friends and family and of course playing,  ALOT!

Also we ate lots of ice cream. My dad should have stock in Blue Bell:
